Market and Customer Research

A core competency of E&S' is to help senior managers understand their internal and external critical issues and opportunities, then to develop solutions-based experiential and fact-based, quantitative data.  A prerequisite to every project is research and analysis to help managers understand the critical issues and opportunities through a series of internal interviews and external secondary or primary market/customer research.

E&S' Research Approach

In some cases, E&S will conduct the secondary market and/or customer research through the "voice of the customer."  In other cases, we will design processes and then facilitate project teams that complete the work.  This approach ensures managers are not just learning about the markets and customer in theory, but rather, through hands-on application.  Ultimately, our goal is to bring valued information critical to management teams to facilitate the decision-making process.  We answer such questions as:

  • How is the market defined and how big is it?

  • What are the key current and emerging trends across the segment?

  • What are the primary customer needs driving the segment?

  • Who are the major industry players? Who is the competition?

  • What types of distribution channels are serving this segment?

  • To what extent does our client play in this market today?

  • How real is this market, and can our client be a major player here?
